January 14, 2012 was a Saturday afternoon well spent with this years Active-8 Global Youth Ambassadors beneath Atlantic Council For International Cooperation's office.
Today I visited and spoke with 8 young, energetic and enthusiastic individuals who were gearing up for this years Active-8 Campaign. Each of them will be armed with the United Nations millennium development goals as they set out to educate and create change within their communities.
Be on the look out as they lobby for your pledges of action this year. I didn't get to personally meet last year's bunch but this year's group certainly looks prepared to shake things up a little. Don't let their happy faces fool you! They're on a mission.
